R & D Programs and the R & D Team of Bestway

Bestway established long-term strategic partnership with Fujian Normal University and Fuzhou University in 2011, respectively, and set up specific team for the high polymer PU tubes, infusion needle tubes and the automated assembly of fuse heads, of indwelling needles, for the purpose of resolving R & D on the PU tubing materials and feasibility study, for the indwelling needles.

Bestway has always attached great importance to the industry-college collaboration with universities, for the purpose of improving the science contents and protecting intellectual property pertaining to products. Guided by the president Mr. Chen Yongxi, the R & D team of Bestway is working hand-in-hand with universities, trying to improve Bestway’s market competitiveness, industrial growth quality and efficiency and promote the optimizing and upgrading of Bestway’s product structure, by making sufficient use of the science and technology advantages of universities.

Bestway Corp. -- Fujian Normal University Joint Research and Development Center for Medical Instruments (November 2009)

Fujian Normal University now has teaching and research divisions including the national key laboratory for polymeric materials and engineering, the high polymer institute, the department of high polymer science, the department of high polymer materials, the department of high polymer processing engineering (plastic engineering and machinery research institute), the department of medical-purpose polymer and artificial organs, the chemical fiber institute, and the specific laboratory for polymer materials and engineering.

Fuzhou University has: the first-level doctoral discipline for “medical engineering”, the first-level center for post-doctoral studies on “electric engineering”, the Fujian provincial characteristic key discipline for “electric engineering”, the Fujian provincial key disciplines including “electric engineering” and “control science and engineering”, the construction site for the “Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Base” of Postgraduates of Fujian Province, the national-level characteristic construction site for bachelor education of “electric engineering and automation”, three provincial-level technological development platforms represented by the “technological development base for the electrical apparatus industry of Fujian Province” and the “electrical apparatus test center of Fuzhou University” recognized by the national laboratory, the institute of electrical engineering of Fuzhou University, the institute of power electronics and power drives, the new research center for smart power grid measuring technology, and the research center for advanced control technology.

Both the two universities are the research centers anchored by high polymer materials and the processing of high polymer materials, electric engineering and automation, with the scope of research covering the polymer structure and property, synthesis and modification, preparation and modeling (process, equipment, new technology), automation and the development and application of new materials. Materials under the research by these two universities include: general-purpose plastics, engineering plastics, special engineering plastics, composite materials, chemical fibers, fine polymer, functional polymer, natural polymer, medical-purpose polymer, tissue engineering material and artificial organs.

R & D team

Bestway’s R & D team is made up of 30 members, all with over 6 years of professional experience. Wu Xinhua, the chief engineer, had showed excellent performance and made great achievements in the electromechanical equipments, R & D and the process formulation and improvement. In 1996-2000, Wu went to Singapore upon the invitation of a Singapore-based listed company and made great achievements there. Later in 2007, Wu came back to China for development and joined in Bestway since then. Bestway has created a lot of high-end production equipments (with great science content) to replace the outdated ones, which improved the production efficiency and saved the labor cost greatly. Under the instruction by the president Mr. Chen Yongxi, Bestway has obtained 137 national patents, in shortly several years, including 25 patents for invention, 30 patent applications for utility models, and 82 international PCT patent applications.
